With 900+ pounds of salt, you are buoyant and it takes no effort. Sit down in the tank, lie back and enjoy.


Can I drown if I fall asleep?


Nope. Some people do fall asleep and the salt will keep you upright. The worst that may happen is getting a bit of salt in your eyes.

What if I'm claustrophobic?


Many people with claustrophobia have no problem in the float tank. The tank is not airtight and air circulates all around you. Plus if you are in the dark, you feel as if you are floating in the vast universe. You can chose music and/or light or you can leave the lid open. You are in control and can get out anytime you chose.

How is sanitation maintained?


Our float tank is Sanitized per the requirements and guidelines set forth by the US Float Tank Standard Sanitation and Safety Regulating Committee.  Our state of the art purification system removes particles to 5 micron (5/100th a human hair). Our tank filtration process runs 24/7 with the exception when being used.

At which time the tank filtration process completes at minimum 4 turnovers between each user session.

The room maintains a daily log, recording:

  • Water Level (minimum of 10”) with Water Temperature (ideal range 93.5˚-95.2˚ F)Water levels

  • Hydrogen Peroxide (in ppm) - Min-Max: 20-100, Ideal Range: 20-40

  • UV Ultraviolet Light

  • Water Level (minimum of 10”)

  • Specific Gravity (1.24-1.28)

  • pH (7.2-7.6)

  • Total Alkalinity (80-120ppm)

The tank and bathroom are maintained between uses.  All electrical equipment, pump equipment, and disinfection equipment is UL and/or NSF certified.The inside of the tank above the solution line will be cleaned daily with a sterilizer.

Dissolved in the spa water is 900 pounds of Epsom salts. The salt maintains a bacteria-free environment that is a natural disinfectant. 


  Additionally, our tank is meticulously cared for and maintained in pristine condition at all times. After each use, the entire volume of the solution is completely filtered with a state-of-the-art filtration system, using both Ultraviolet (UV) light and a Pure Premium Spa Filter Cartridge. The filtration process completes at minimum 4 turnovers between each user session.

(UV), The world's leading experts applaud ultraviolet (UV) as a pool disinfection. The Professional Pool Operators of America state that UV is "extremely effective” and is "the strongest oxidizer available to pool operators.

How does UV work?

Ultraviolet (UV) disinfection involves the application of germicidal UV wavelengths to water, which damages microbial cell components and thereby prevents cell replication and renders pathogens harmless. Applied at conventional UV doses, there is little to no known formation of regulated disinfection by-products associated with UV disinfection, which is an advantage over chemical disinfectants (e.g. chlorine)


What do I need to do to prepare for my first float?

Floating is one of the best and easiest ways to naturally heal your body. However, you should not shave, wax, or tan at all on the day of your float. The high salt content of the water can be irritating to freshly shaved, tanned or waxed skin. Please do not wear any hair or skin products prior to floating. Remove your contacts. Be sure to eat something light before you float. If you have hair coloring that has not set you cannot go in the Pod until the color is set and nothing washes out in the shower. You do not want to be hungry while Floating, so try to eat something light about 30 minutes before the Float. Avoid caffeine 4 hours prior to your Float. You must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.Each room contains earplugs. We recommend earplugs to avoid swimmers ear and salt in your ear canal. (Epsom salts can irritate freshly shaved skin and we do NOT recommend floating on the day of a shave, waxing, or tan. Your First Float will start out with a 5 minute orientation on floatation therapy and tour of the Float Spa. Upon entering the private room you will rinse off in a warm shower. Each room contains earplugs and Vaseline to cover up small cuts and grazes. We provide earplugs to avoid swimmers ear and salt in your ear canal. (Epsom salts can irritate freshly shaved skin and we do NOT recommend floating on the day of a shave, waxing, or tan.)
*No freshly dyed hair; dyed hair must wash clean for two rinses before floating. Also, females on their menstrual cycle are NOT permitted in the Float Pod. As a consideration to other floaters, Please reschedule if you have already made an appointment..

Is it private?


Yes, you float within your own individual suite (so there is no requirement to wear a swimsuit, in fact we encourage you to forego the swim suit since they are the primary source of contaminates. Frankly, it is much cleaner this way). The float room has it’s own shower and dressing space for your exclusive use for the duration of your session.


What if I can't swim?

Floating doesn’t require any swimming skills. You’ll actually float effortlessly no matter what shape or size you are.



Is floating for everyone?

We don’t recommend floating for epileptics not medically controlled, for people intoxicated with drugs or alcohol or for those with infectious diseases or contagious skin conditions. Also floating is not advised if you suffer from incontinence, nausea or epilepsy and are not on medication and have been medically advised not to float. Do not float if you have open or bleeding wounds.

As with other therapies, floating doesn’t suit everyone. Willingness on your part to let go and see what happens is required and you may need to float a few times before you are able to relax completely. Depending on you, a float might provide an hour of total physical relaxation, a profound healing experience, or may feel like the longest hour of your life. Floating can be a wonderful aid to opening doors into your inner world, gradually allowing access to those deeper levels at which real changes take place. The more you do it, the better you feel. The benefits of floating occur after your float when you feel revived, awake, anew, relaxed and your senses are acute.
